When it comes to brand campaigns involving LGBT+ communities, it’s rare for brands to get it right. Commonly Pride campaigns consist of rainbow motifs and rehashed narratives.
I had the pleasure to partner with cultural collective Vogue Rites, leading fashion designer Gareth Pugh’s creative studio Hard + Shiny and cultural institution Somerset House to create the Power Ball.
The Power Ball, was Europe’s largest open air Vogue Ball centering LGBT+ communities and much adorned ballroom culture. By working with the House of West we were able to creatively and authentically intergrate adidas product in to the event and spotlight communities in a way rarely done.
